¹²C+¹²C fusion is the critical reactionfor understanding the late phases ofstellar evolution as well as the ignitionand nucleosynthesis in cataclysmicbinary systems such as type Ia supernovae and x ray superbursts. Continuing on from our prior work (published in PRL 2020), another campaign of ¹²C+¹²C measurement was performed at Notre Dame with more reliable reaction rate resutls. Learn more
