deBoer invited to join Consultancy Meeting at IAEA

Dr. James deBoer, Associate Research Professor from the Department of Physics and Astronomy presented new experimental results and evaluation work at a consultancy meeting of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at the Vienna International Center. One of the group’s main objectives is to obtain an improved understanding of the reactions that are used by physics and engineers all over the world to design next generation nuclear energy facilities. deBoer is a representative of the University of Notre Dame Nuclear Science Laboratory, one of the few academic institutions recognized for its achievements in this discipline. Other members of the consultancy group include Ian Thompson from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Mark Paris and Gerry Hale from Los Alamos National Laboratory, Marco Pigni and Goran Arbanas from Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Helmut Leeb from the Technical University of Vienna, Satoshi Kunida from the Japanese Atomic Energy Agency, Zhenpeng Chen from Tsinghua University, and Vivian Dimitriou from the International Atomic Energy Agency.
