The "Era of Discovery: The 2023 Long Range Plan for Nuclear Science" is being rolled out on October 6, 2023. Professor Ani Aprahamian was the chair of the report for "Nuclear Structure and Reactions" and "Nuclear Astrophysics". A point relevant to the Notre Dame community is the support of the nuclear physics community for interdisciplinary centers like the Joint Institute of Nuclear Astrophysics pioneered at University of Notre Dame.
