Kevin Lee receives 2023 Browne Award

Kevin Lee is the recipient of the 2023 Cornelius P. Browne Memorial Award in Nuclear Physics. Kevin was recognized for leading the development and transformation of ICEBall to fIREBall by using state of the art simulation tools, guiding the designs of the magnets and managing to increase the efficiency of the mini-orange spectrometer by 50%.

Cornelius P. Browne served as the director for the Nuclear Structure Lab for nearly thirty years. Through his hard work and dedication he steered the lab through the most successful period in its history. In honor of Dr. Browne, this award is presented annually to an outstanding Nuclear Physics graduate student who has exemplified Professor Browne’s work ethic.
