Travel Information:
South Bend is conveniently located along Interstate-80 and near Highway 31, approximately 1h 30m east of Chicago. The closest airport is the South Bend International Airport. Larger airports such as Chicago O'Hare and Midway, are approximately 2 hours from Notre Dame.

Aside from car rental, the most convenient way to travel from the O'Hare or Midway airports in Chicago is via the Coach USA shuttle (http://www.coachusa.com/) to either South Bend Airport, then take a taxi or Uber to your hotel, or Notre Dame campus directly if you plan to stay at the Morris Inn on campus.
