Open House 2023
In conjunction with Science Day at Notre Dame the Nuclear Science Laboratory opened their doors to the public during the home game against Pittsburg. The event began with a lecture from Professor Michael Weischer discussing “The Oppenheimer Movie: A Physicist's Perspective” which was free to the public. Afterward this several demonstrations were setup in and around Nieuwland Science Hall to give some fun ways to teach a little science to the visitors. Also guided tours of the Nuclear Science Laboratory were given and a few of the researchers were available to discuss their research with visitors. Hundreds visited the demos and over a hundred people joined us on a tour of the laboratory!
