The Nuclear Science Laboratory (NSL) at the University of Notre Dame (ND) is a mid-sized accelerator laboratory serving the local nuclear physics group and a large growing national and international user community. The research focus of the ND nuclear physics group is on nuclear astrophysics, nuclear structure, reaction physics, fundamental symmetries, and applied nuclear physics. This is complemented by new, frequently interdisciplinary initiatives in the development of accelerator applications. The ND faculty continues to be very successful in maintaining a competitive scientific program at the NSL with a number of significant scientific achievements, developments of new instrumentation, and substantial improvements to the laboratory infrastructure. The NSL, its faculty and students serve as a national and international resource in nuclear physics and beyond, providing unique beams, instrumentation, and outstanding student training opportunities.
