Mass of N-rich Rb and Sr isotopes

The mass of 98,99Rb and 98-100Sr were measured to high precision using the TITAN Penning trap at the TRIUMF. The neutron-rich Rb and Sr isotopes were produced at the ISAC facility and charge bred to a charge state of 10+ using the TITAN EBIT. The masses were measured down to a precision of 6-12 keV. The new masses lead to small changes in the r-process abundance patterns in the A ~ 100 region. Learn more
