Preparation and characterization of isotopically pure Mo targets

For studies of cross sections of capture reactions on molybdenum, uniform targets with areal densities of hundreds of μg/cm2 are desired. For this purpose, a new double-step method has been developed to produce targets meeting these needs. Various material analysis methods show that the targets exhibit a uniform coverage of Mo over the gold backings. Learn more
